You will develop and manage new clients relationship as Business Developer at Sketchin with strong business development and key account management experience and attitude, supporting the organic growth of Sketchin, mainly in the Italian area. Possibly you will also follow the international expansion strategy of Sketchin.

Along with the Strategy group, you will lead the business strategy proposing and implementing new lead generation initiatives, capturing the challenges of market change, e.g. Digital transformation, operational efficiency, vision of new business opportunities, innovation.

You will collaborate with Sketchin as a freelancer, taking advantage of your consulting approach to make Clients feel comfortable with the entire Sketchin’s innovation and design end-to-end process and services, fostering relationships with decision makers supporting them to face challenges in innovation within complex global organizations, building long term relationships and finally achieving account revenue goals.

You will be a passionate advocate of the Sketchin brand.

What will you do?

  • Defining commercial strategy, together with the Chief Strategy Officer ang General Manager Group, in order to operate on the market consistently, achieving business goals on Clients and industries.
  • Building and executing the account strategy, elaborating account plans, regularly using reporting tools (such as Salesforce) to control and communicate the business funnel, new leads and project opportunities, ensuring that Client's commitments to new projects are timely closed, and that Statements of Work are definitely signed even on a verbal approval;
  • Contacting and building relationships with new leads to capture new opportunities for the company;
  • Defining new lead generation strategies to reach market segments not yet covered by the Studio

  • Listen to the people: discovering Clients’ stakeholders needs and managing Client relationships, perceiving emerging behaviours, building customer intimacy - in addition working well within the existing Sketchin’s organization model;
  • Understanding the digital landscape of the customer, boosting also industry vertical solutions, products and services, which can foster new business opportunities and investments across the full range of Sketchin’s offering, activating the domains of innovation and business modelling, experience and design, data and technology, organization development and process improvement, therefore simplifying the implementation of business transformation;
  • Understanding the experience when business meets design: you have to be aware and support the importance of Human-Centered Design and of Design Thinking methodology to build Brand Experience, Customer Experience, User Experience as key business differentiators;
  • Understanding technology: you have to be aware of new technologies and able to see them from a new and human-oriented perspective

The following personal skills and attitudes are required

  • Have a network of strategic business contacts in the Italian (or international) area
  • Have strong aptitude and experience in selling premium consulting services for innovation and design projects, with proven experience in multifunctional business modeling and development processes, with a good understanding of the human-centered design, technology and organizational design;
  • Be curious about technology and innovation, be able to understand the evolution of the market and its implications in terms of business opportunities in different sectors;
  • Have experience of managing relationships with large and complex organizations, combined with the ability to organize solid project proposals
  • Ability to understand and compose contractual agreements: e.g. Letter of Intent, Master Service Agreement, NDA, Statement of Work;
  • Problem solving: being a reference point in managing expectations and identifying problem solving;
  • Storytelling: ability to engage Client and Sketchin team members through public speaking, along with analytical, verbal, writing and presentation skills;
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, Salesforce, collaboration and communication tools like Favro, Trello, Slack, or presentation tools like Keynote;
  • Passion for excellence, curiosity, cultural openness, courage, impermanence, flexibility towards rapidly changing situations, pioneering spirit, systemic approach and foresight attitude;
  • Good work ethic and good team player;
  • Business level skills in English, both in speech and writing;;

The following skills have preferential effect

  • Experience in Sales and Account Management of large and complex digital projects, from the initial phase to completion, with particular attention to: financial resources, project development, risk management, change management, project acceptance and closure;
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology, working in an iterative way on incomplete and impermanent contexts;
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking methods and tools;
