Who are we looking for?

You will be in charge of the business strategy work, focusing on the powerful impact of technology innovation and adoption guided by experience design approach and capturing the Client’s and the industry business and tech challenges, e.g. innovation, digital business design and transformation, operational efficiency.

You will support Business Development and POV development through market, customer, competitive analysis, that will shape the Client' business perspective on Sketchin’s projects.

Your consultative approach will make Clients feel comfortable with the entire Sketchin’s innovation, design and implementation end-to-end process and services, fostering relationships with decision makers - frequently at C-Level, sometimes VP-Level - supporting them to face challenges in innovation and technology within complex global organizations, building long term relationships and finally achieving account revenue goals.

Together with the Design Director, you will develop innovative omni-channel strategies and experiences from an end-to-end perspective, proposing a new technological vision through which to direct the definition of concepts and prototypes, even at an organizational level, you will provide guidance and support to projects that involve the customer's business strategy.

  • Working as a trusted advisor by proactively guiding our customers with technical recommendations and best practices. You’ll understand their business needs, priorities and technical challenges;
  • Providing high-level technical expertise for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions;
  • Working closely with technical and non-tech stakeholders to define and scope high level design and development requirements;
  • Owning the customer technical and strategic engagement. Meet regularly with customer leadership and operational teams to provide bespoke insights on how our service helps them achieve their business goals;
  • Using your technical acumen to suggest solutions, provide guidance and advocate for the customer;
  • Understanding the technology landscape of the customer, boosting also industry vertical solutions, which can foster new business opportunities and investments across the full range of Sketchin’s offering, activating the domains of innovation and business modeling, experience and design, data and technology, organization development and process improvement, therefore simplifying the implementation of business and technology transformation;
  • Managing business through a technology perspective: helping Clients, who are interested in having relationships with Sketchin, get initial and lasting impressions and, as a consequence, find new tech-driven opportunities for growth based on industry and market trends, driving Client’s business development, achieving new client acquisition targets and annual revenue contribution goals;
  • Deal with people: discover the needs of stakeholders, perceive, direct and manage relationships with customers, identifying emerging needs and behaviors, work in line with the organizational model of Sketchin;
  • Understanding the customer's digital and technological landscape, enriching it also thanks to the knowledge of vertical solutions, products and services in the sector, which can foster new business opportunities and investments across the entire range of Sketchin's offering, activating the innovation and business domains modeling, experience and design, data and technology, organization development and process improvement, thus simplifying the implementation of business transformation;
  • Understanding the experience when business meets design and technology: being aware and supporting the importance of Human-Centered Design and the Design Thinking methodology to build new experiences of value thanks to the enabling potential of technological tools, exploiting the latter as key differentiating elements for the Client's business;
  • Understanding technology: being aware of new emerging technologies and able to make customers understand them, presenting them through a new and human-oriented perspective;
  • Define commercial strategy, together with General Managers, in order to operate on the market consistently, achieving business goals on Clients and industries;
  • Building and executing the account strategy - in close collaboration with Vidiemme and with the BIP Partners, which we are proudly part of - elaborating account plans, regularly using reporting tools, such as Salesforce, to control and communicate the business funnel, new leads and project opportunities, ensuring that Client's commitments to new projects are timely closed, and that Statements of Work are definitely signed even on a verbal approval;

We would like you to have the following competencies and personal attitudes

  • Being curious about technology and innovation, being able to understand market evolution and its implication in business opportunity in the industries;
  • Showing attitude in new business development and sales of premium consultancy services for innovation & design projects, with proven experience in the multi-functional business modelling and development processes, with a good understanding of human-centered design, technology and organizational design;
  • Experience in management in large and complex organizations, together with the ability to arrange large and complex project proposals;
  • Ability to understand and compose contractual agreements: e.g. Letter of Intent, Master Service Agreement, NDA, Statement of Work;
  • Experience in Product and Project Management of large and complex projects, from the initial phase to completion, with keen attention to: technical architecture, financial resources, project development, risk management, change management, project acceptance and closure;
  • Problem solving mentality being a reference point in managing expectations and identifying the resolution of issues;
  • Storytelling: ability to engage both Client’s and Sketchin’s teams members through public speaking, together with analytical, verbal, writing and presentation skills;
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology preferred, working lean iteratively on incomplete and impermanent situations;
  • Knowledge of Design Thinking methods and tools preferred;
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, Salesforce, collaboration and communication tools such as Favro, Trello, Slack, in addition to presentation tools such as Keynote;
  • Dedication to excellence, curiosity, cultural openness, courage, impermanence, flexible towards fast-changing situations, pioneering spirit, systemic approach and foresight attitude;
  • Good work ethic and good team player;
  • Business level ability in English, both in speaking and writing;
  • Business level ability in Italian, both in speaking and writing;
